On Monday, September 16th, GFS celebrated International Dot Day. The entire school participated in a syndicated read aloud of The Dot by Peter Reynolds. The book emphasizes that everyone has creative potential and that small acts of encouragement can lead to significant personal growth. It also celebrates the idea that creativity can be nurtured and that each individual has something unique to contribute to the community. Following the reading the entire GFS community gathered on the field to create a large GFS. This act symbolized the value each unique individual, or tiny dot, contributes to the fabric of our GFS community.
