On November 11, GFS held its annual GFS Walk-A-Thon. All proceeds from this event support Westport Human Services Family Holiday Giving Program, which is led by Annette D'Augelli, a Youth and Family Specialist. The program helps local families in need by providing gift cards to parents so they can buy their children gifts for the holidays. This event is a joyful celebration of community, generosity, and kindness. The support from our GFS community truly makes a difference for our neighbors. This year, we hope to reach 19 families and 67 individuals with the help and donations from GFS. As a school aimed at creating joyful learning opportunities that help everyone achieve their full potential, our efforts during Walk-A-Thon help foster meaningful relationships and reflect our values of respect, joy, kindness, trust, belonging, and empathy. Thank you to everyone for your participation, donations, and involvement. Together, we have displayed what it means to live our values and to help brighten the holidays for families across Westport.
