Adelia Eddy is a passionate and dedicated administrative leader with over 25 years experience working with children. She earned her Intermediate Administrator Certification from Sacred Heart University and both her Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from St. John's University.
Adelia began her career as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in 1996 at Blythedale Children’s Hospital in Valhalla, NY. While at the hospital, Adelia served as a staff clinician. She then served as a supervisor to staff and students while also serving as one of the unit liaisons. In 2005, Adelia transitioned to the academic sector where she began working as a SLP at Redding Elementary School. For the past 10+ years, Adelia also served as the Instructional Team Leader for the Special Education Department. As the Team Leader, she took on a variety of leadership, management and supervisory responsibilities. Adelia has used her strong communication skills to build relationships with students, educational professionals, parents, administrators, and medical professionals throughout her career.
As a lifelong learner, Adelia believes that success is a collective and collaborative effort and a shared responsibility. It is rooted in the relationships developed with each other, with children, with families, and with the greater community.
In her spare time, Adelia enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her energetic dalmation while spending time on the lake, walking, hiking, and traveling. When not volunteering within her community for her children’s schools and their activities, she is an avid spectator of her children’s sports and activities which include volleyball, skiing and snowboarding.
